I decided to stretch my legs today and ended up going into the supermarket to buy some sweets for my old sweet tooth. It wasn't the warmest of days so I was wearing my hoodie and I had the hood up. I walked round the supermarket and picked up my delectable Haribo's and proceeded to the check out. At this time I had my hands free kit on talking to my cousin when I heard the security guard say "take your hood off" I looked at him in contempt and replied "WHAT FOR!!!"
I thought nothing of it BUT then some next security looking guy said "can you remove your hood. It's for security purposes and there is a sign on the front when you walk in the shop." I reluctantly removed my hood BUT I must admit I was outraged. I'm still pretty annoyed that I had to remove my hood. How long before some other outrageous policy is imposed eroding my civil liberties one by one. It's only a matter of time before I won't be allowed to use foul language in public. God save us All!!!!
those security guards are ridonkulous! even if that's the store policy, they should be able to exercise better discretion and politeness. i say: "don't harass the customers, they might not come back."
ReplyDeletesorry about those guys not being very bright and very inconsiderate.
