The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time

Right, I do usually read but lately I haven't been my usual book worm self. Maybe, I had readers indigestion (like I even know what that means) but i picked up a book yesterday, which was called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon.

Yes, the curious incident of the dog is all about just that someone stabs a dog with the garden fork as illustrated above. The incident itself has a profound effect on the narrator who happens to be a 15 years 3 months and 2 days old boy who has Asperger's Syndrome, which makes an interesting read. So, interesting in fact that I managed to complete all 272 pages in one sitting. Well, I certainly don't do this reading thing by halves. No reading for months then complete overload what a book devourer.

The book opens your mind into the bizarre and wondrous mind of this boy who isn't very good at reading human emotions. But is absolutely a genius when it comes to mathematics and at paying attention to detail which we wouldn't necessarily remember or even bother to acknowledge.

All in all a bloody good read. So, if you are a book worm and you haven't had the pleasure of munching the pages of this book than am sure you'll find it a delectable treat.
