I've never given too much attention to Alzheimer's before---it's something you don't really pay mind to when you're young. Too be frank you rarely pay attention to things that don't concern you or don't affect you in some way or another. To me...Alzheimer's was something I watched on E.R. or some other hospital related drama or a brief news bulletin.
But now it's managed to raise it's ugly head into my life and boy oh boy is it UGLY. I mean you manage to survive on this planet for over 70 years and given the present climate with young people being stabbed or shot aged 12, 13, 15 (you get my drift)...living over 70 is an achievement that you're lucky to accomplish. For what to happen for all your precious treasured memories - the good, bad and the ugly to be erased. The video of your life is being erased while you still breath oxygen into your lungs.
Damn, I really HATE this disease!!!!! Soon, I'll be forgotten and I don't mind as I've still got my own memories to cherish BUT it's just a horrid DISEASE :( As, the mind deteriorates I wonder what is going on in the victims head. Are they suffering? Do you know something is happening as this DISEASE feasts on your mind. I dread to think what they know when this is happening!!!!!
